The Epidemiology Foundation of India (EFI) was founded in 2018 with the aim of promoting epidemiological thinking among young scientists and researchers. This is being achieved by promoting manpower development in the field of epidemiology. The Foundation organizes training courses/seminars/workshops/conferences in the field of epidemiology from time to time. Journal of Epidemiology Foundation of India is an official publication of EFI.

1. To advocate the science and practice of epidemiology and enhance its impact on public health
2. To facilitate the translation of epidemiological methods and tools into evidence-based policy decisions
3. To promote the professional development of students and faculty involved in the field of epidemiology
4. To recognize excellence and aptitude of individuals in the discipline of epidemiology and encourage promotion of talent
5. To develop and maintain an active and diverse membership of fellows and members, from all fields and settings where epidemiologists engage in research, or practice.
