To Study impact of Anaemia on fungus growth in anaemic patients.

Introduction: This study has been conducted in semi-urban area of Muktsar District, Punjab. A big section of people suffer from fungal infection due to poor hygiene, bad food habits and untreated anaemia.
Objectives: 1. To examine impact of anemia on fungus growth in anaemic patients.
Materials and Methods: For purpose of study, applied clinical research was done on 32 patients in a randomized controlled trial method in 2024. Patients were divided in 2 groups , 16 each in experimental and non experimental methods. For Data collection and experiments, 2 lab technicians and a pharmacist helped. To achieve the objectives of the study, primary data was collected from 32 patients selected from Sri Muktsar Sahib District of Punjab. SPSS, version 16 was used for Chi square test, Mean value and Standard Deviation for data of Haemoglobin, Blood sugar and Blood pH was taken
Results: The study revealed that on giving regular iron supplements with antifungal treatment improvement was 1.8 times more than antifungal treatment alone. Relapse rate of fungus infection in non-experimental group was 2.3 times more than experimental group. Percentage of fungus cure increased upto 71.2 percent after giving iron supplements along with antifungal treatment. In non- experimental group it was only 28.7 percent. Interestingly, on comparison of both the groups, the percentage of patients with complete cure was 42.5 percent more than the non- experimental group.
